About Japanese Porn Sites
Japanese Porn Sites is an independent directory of sites for Japanese adult video, for adults only. It does not host, sell or distribute any video, and its pages carry text and links only, with no pictures, covers or clips.
What gets listed
A listing is one site: a membership, a store, a maker's official site, a live chat service, a fan-club platform or a reference database. The scope is live-action adult video made in Japan, and the link on each entry goes to the site itself.
One business gets one entry. The labels of one company are listed separately only when each has a site and a catalog of its own.
Performers are adults. A site that presents its performers as younger than 18 is not listed, and neither is one that presents its video as made without the agreement of the people in it.
Some things are outside the scope of the site: animation, games and comics, sites that only show photos, adult video from other countries, sites that offer video without the permission of the people who made it, and altered copies of commercial releases. If a site's own pages do not give enough to say something specific about it, it waits instead of being listed with filler.
Censored and uncensored
Adult video distributed in Japan carries a mosaic. Studios that publish without it are run by companies outside Japan, and their write-ups give the company and the place their pages name, where they name one. Rules on adult video differ from country to country, and following the ones where you live is up to you.
How the write-ups are written
Every write-up is based on the site's own pages: its front page, its membership or price page, its terms, its company page and its help pages. Most Japanese adult sites are written only in Japanese, and those pages are read in Japanese. A write-up says what the site is, what it carries, whether the video is censored and who runs it, how much of it exists in English, what it states about visitors and payment from abroad, and what it costs, as far as the pages state it. Where a site does not say something, the write-up says so instead of guessing.
Prices are given as the page prints them, in yen or in dollars, without conversion, and carry the month they were read. We have not subscribed to every site listed here, and the write-ups do not pretend otherwise.
Pages are read again over time. When a site closes, its listing is retired.
Categories
A site joins a category because its own pages back it up: what it sells, the language it offers, the payment routes it names. A site can sit in several categories and still has a single write-up.
How listings are ordered
Within a category, the better-known sites come first. Star ratings, where shown, come from visitors.
Money
Sites are not charged to be listed. An outbound link may be an affiliate link, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up or buy after clicking. That does not change which sites are listed or what their write-ups say.
Suggestions and corrections
If a site is missing, you can suggest it through the submission form. If a listing has a fact wrong, or a site has changed its price or its terms, send a note through the contact form. It is the only way to reach us.
