What the site is

EVELT (イベルト) is a Japanese-language information site at av-event.jp. Its own subtitle calls it an event information site for sexy idols and AV performers, and its guide says it aims to introduce events where those performers appear earlier and in greater number than anywhere else. It does not carry video and does not sell anything. What it lists are physical events in Japan: DVD and Blu-ray release events, signings, swimsuit photo sessions, fan meetups and the occasional photo exhibition, each with a date, a place and the conditions for taking part.

The footer carries "Copyright since 2013 EVELT", and the terms of use refer to the party behind the site only as 運営者 (the operator), without a company name, an address or a country. Every page is in Japanese. Censorship is not a topic the site touches, since its subject is a live appearance tied to a disc release and not the video itself. A reader who stops here should know the point: EVELT is for someone who can be at a Japanese store or venue on the day, not for someone looking for video to watch.

What it carries and how it is organized

The top page is a finder. A calendar picks a date, and a row of regions picks a place: Akihabara (listed on its own), Tokyo, Kanto, Kansai, Hokkaido, Tohoku, Hokushinetsu, Tokai, Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu with Okinawa. Below the finder come the feeds. New events (新着イベント) holds the listings that organizers have just published. Today's events (本日開催イベント) lists what is on that day with its start time. Upcoming events (近日開催イベント) covers the next 10 days. On a Sunday in October 2026 the same-day feed sat mostly in Akihabara and elsewhere in Tokyo, with others in Fukuoka, Hyogo, Osaka, Okayama, Miyagi, Fukushima, Hokkaido and Kanagawa, and a few entries were marked as canceled (中止) or postponed (延期). Event titles often carry the maker or label behind the release in brackets, so SODSTAR, FALENO, Madonna and MOODYZ release events are easy to pick out of the list.

The event search page narrows by a set of conditions that the guide walks through: the event period on a calendar, the place by region or prefecture, the event format (the guide gives DVD release events and fan meetups as examples), the performer genre as the listing tags it, the event genre by costume, such as swimsuit or cosplay, and a free-word box. Because it is a narrowing search, the guide warns that each extra condition reduces the number of matches. A magnifier-icon search does free-word lookup of both events and stores. On the smartphone version only, a nearby search uses the phone's GPS to show events held that day close to the visitor, and does the same for stores.

Visitors can save up to 10 events to a favorites list with a button on each event page. The guide says that adding one more pushes out the oldest, that the PC and smartphone versions do not share the list, that changing browser or updating the operating system may wipe it, and that it needs cookies enabled. No account is involved.

An event page is the useful unit. It gives the date and start time, the performer, and the venue with address, phone number and the store's own link. The description adds the details that matter on the day: when tickets start being handed out, any cap on attendance (one Akihabara release event is limited to 50 people), the time the line closes, and what a visitor gets. Perks on the event pages run by the number of discs bought, with 1 disc earning a short swimsuit photo slot, 2 discs a longer one, and 3 discs a two-shot or signing slot. Notes follow on filming bans, the adults-only rule, health rules and what happens when weather or other reasons force a cancellation. A bar at the bottom tags the event with its categories, such as DVD sales event or swimsuit, and one page adds a contact link to the maker running the event.

Beyond the calendar, the site has a store directory (店舗情報) of shops across Japan that sponsor EVELT. It is searchable by prefecture on a map of Japan and by shop name, shows the stores updated last at the top with their street addresses, and gives store totals by region and by prefecture; the directory lists 142 shops in Kanto, 96 in Tokai and 80 in Kansai, and counts Akihabara apart from the rest of Tokyo. Shop-group pages gather a chain under one banner with each branch's postal address and a link to its detail page. A campaign section (キャンペーン) lists maker-run promotions together with the shops taking part. The campaign page shows limited bonus-disc editions, a set of maker discount campaigns running 1 to 31 October 2026, and a store display contest tied to the MOODYZ 25th anniversary. The menu also holds a list of event organizers, a publicity section (宣伝部) and a link to the site's X account.

Two special pages cover retail partnerships. The FANZA SHOP page describes a collaboration between FANZA and the Don Quijote discount chain, sold in some Don Quijote branches and in sell-shops, with the floor of each branch that carries it. A VR page lists new releases marked as compatible with the Outvision VR Scope viewer, 4 titles dated 15 October 2026 that include kawaii* VR and PREMIUM VR entries, groups stockists by region, and tells readers to phone a store before visiting because a shop may not stock them. A links page groups official maker sites by theme, from general makers such as MOODYZ and performer-led labels such as S1 to mature-genre houses such as Madonna, along with FANZA and its news site.

Japan mechanics

The Japan angle here is how release events work. Taking part depends on buying the target product at the host store: the event pages state that participation tickets are handed to customers who buy the target item at the store holding the event. One page sends the reader to the store's own site or blog for the ticket start date. If an event is called off, one store's page says the ticket can be used for a replacement event, and that where no replacement is possible the product, receipt and ticket can be exchanged at the counter for a return and refund. Those terms belong to the store and the organizer, and the guide and the contact page say so: questions about an event go to the organizer or the store, not to EVELT.

Nothing on the site addresses visitors from abroad. Event text, store addresses and the contact form are Japanese only, and payment happens at the store counter, so the site itself names no payment method. The terms require every user to be 18 or older, and event pages repeat that nobody under 18 may attend. Contact goes through a web form with a choice between event questions and store-listing questions. Replies are sent on weekdays only, support rests on weekends and public holidays, and a message arriving after 19:00 may be answered on the next business day. The guide adds that visitors who filter mail by domain should allow av-event.jp, or the reply will not arrive.

Price and access

EVELT has no plan, no login and no fee for readers. The terms of use, dated 30 August 2019, say the operator, the listed stores, the event posters or other rights holders keep all rights to the text, images and video on the site, that listings can be changed or deleted without notice, and that the operator does not guarantee their accuracy. The event pages state no price for the target disc: access to an event runs through buying a product at the store, at whatever that store charges. Organizers who want to list events register through a separate form, and stores raise listing questions through the contact form.

Who it suits

It suits a reader who is in Japan, reads Japanese, and wants to know which store is hosting a release event for a given performer, on what day and under what ticket rules. It also helps a collector checking which stores take part in a maker's campaign or stock a special edition.

It does not suit anyone who needs English, anyone who cannot visit a Japanese store, or anyone who wants a video database. The site is a calendar and a store directory. The guide's own figure of more than 200 registered organizers is dated August 2019, so it is a historical number, and each event listing depends on the organizer's own text.
