What myfans is

myfans (マイファンズ) at myfans.jp is a Japanese fan-club platform for individual creators. Its home page title presents it as a fan club that connects a fan with a favorite creator (推しとつながるファンクラブ), and the English help center defines it as a service that lets anyone create a fan club: a creator posts photos and videos open only to devoted fans, and can run the club for a fee so that content reaches only people who have paid to join. Each post page is titled as that creator's private SNS. What a visitor finds is a feed of photo sets and video clips from many independent creators, each selling access to their own posts, in place of a studio catalog.

The site's pages name no operating company. The operator appears only as 弊社 (a company's word for itself) and 運営事務局 (the management office).

The main site is in Japanese: menus, genre names, plan boxes and the creators' captions. The help center, titled myfans公式ガイド (official guide), switches between Japanese, English, Korean, Thai, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Adult posts are mosaic-censored. The help center states that submitted content goes through a mosaic review (モザイク審査), and the front page of the English help center promotes an article titled Mosaic required.

What it carries and how it is organized

The home page opens with a sign-up prompt and a post library with shelves for purchased items, playlists, liked posts and viewing history. A block of recommended genres follows, named in the site's own terms: glamorous (グラマラス), cute type (可愛い系), pretty type (きれい系) and slender (スレンダー), each with its post count and a link to more genres. Below it sit the staff picks, a strip of creators with follower counts, and a feed of new posts stamped with the hours since posting. The bottom navigation reads home, feed, the all-you-can-watch channel, ranking, messages and account.

A genre page adds a keyword search box, a popularity sort, a filter that narrows results to the all-you-can-watch channel and a link to that genre's ranking. Photo posts show the number of images in the set and video posts show a running time. Captions in the public feed mention swimsuit shoots, cosplay outfits, portrait sessions and off-shots from photo shoots.

A post page carries follow, share and report buttons, a comment thread, the post's genre and topic tags such as daily-life vlog and model or portrait, breadcrumbs by creator and by genre, and a list of the same creator's other posts. A locked post offers a link labeled as viewing the photos without the blur, which leads to the plans that include the post and to its single sale.

The sales model has several layers. A creator can publish free posts, run one or more monthly plans, sell a post as a single purchase, take tips and receive super comments, which are a paid purchase type of their own. Plans have their own names and contents: one creator's captions point to a photo plan, a short-video plan and single sales as separate products. A plan can also be bought as a bundle that pays for several months at once. The platform also sells products of its own. The myfans premium membership appears in the payment table beside creator plans and comes with a free period. The all-you-can-watch channel, labeled 見放題ch, is a subscription across creators, and its plan box claims more than 50,000 posts from 1,500 creators. The help center also lists coupons handed out by the operator, coupons handed out by creators, and plans sold at a campaign price.

An affiliate program runs beside the fan clubs. Its help category has one set of articles for affiliates, covering registration, reward tables and payouts, and one for creators, who can set the affiliate reward rate for their own plans and open them only to approved affiliates.

The creator side of the help center covers creator registration, changing a plan price, deleting a plan, drafts, scheduled posts, a blog function, rules for using the myfans logo and the payout request cycle. It also links an article on contracts connected with Japan's AV performer protection law and a guideline for all-ages content. A guideline on generated content permits such posts under rules: none that depicts a minor, none that uses a real person's face, body, voice or name without that person's consent, and none sold as real footage, with removal, withheld sales, posting limits or account suspension for violations. Skin retouching, brightness and color adjustment and background blur on real footage fall outside that guideline.

The Japan mechanics

The mosaic review is set out in detail. The platform judges each post against the standard in force at the time of review, the place where it will be shown and its format, so a past approval does not guarantee a later one. Thumbnails, which reach many users on list screens and the top page, are reviewed more carefully than the main content, and either one can pass while the other fails. A still image and a video cut from the same material can be judged differently. A post resubmitted after a correction request is reviewed in full, not only at the spot the first review pointed to, and a post that was already approved can still draw a request for changes or deletion later. The standard itself requires processing strong enough that the shape and boundary of the covered body parts cannot be clearly recognized. Darkness of the mosaic alone does not decide the result, since size, surroundings, color and contrast change how recognizable an area is, and the view on a phone screen is weighed as well as the view on a computer. A related help article is titled as covering mosaic handling for general adult content and for gay and BL content.

English reaches the help center and stops there. Its English front page groups articles for first-time users, services, users, creators and an FAQ, and promotes articles on the payment method, canceling a plan, deleting an account, identification documents, the premium membership and what to do when a delayed payment blocks viewing. The posts and menus a member uses are Japanese.

On overseas use, the FAQ carries the question of whether people from other countries can register (外国の方も登録可能ですか?). The payment page addresses foreign currency directly: a charge in another currency is converted at the rate set by the card company, the operator gives no guarantee or individual guidance about rates, and the card company may add its own overseas transaction fee. Paidy, atone and the postpaid option are open only to users with a Japanese phone number that can receive SMS.

Price, access and billing

Creators publish free posts and can run free plans beside paid ones. Paid access comes as monthly plans, bundle plans paid several months ahead, single purchases, tips and super comments, plus the platform's own premium membership and all-you-can-watch channel. A card has to be registered on the payment-method screen before paying. Renewal of a plan charges the card used at the first sign-up, even when it is not the default card, and falls back to the default card if that one was deleted.

Plan prices can change. Since July 20, 2023 a creator can edit a plan's monthly fee, and the help center spells out the effect: members who joined before the change keep renewing at their old price, new members pay the new one, and a member who cancels and rejoins pays the price in force on the day of rejoining.

The payment page lists Visa, Mastercard and JCB credit cards, BitCash, Paidy, atone next-month payment by convenience store or account transfer, and a postpaid route through a convenience store or bank ATM. Credit cards cover every sale type, and debit and prepaid cards are accepted too, although some cards will not go through. BitCash, atone and the postpaid route work for plans, single sales and the premium membership, while tips and super comments take only a card or Paidy. A creator plan's first-month discount is not applied to BitCash payments, or to card payments for plans above a certain price. Billing emails for atone and the postpaid route come from those payment companies.

Creators set their own prices, so there is no single ladder. In October 2026 a post page shows the all-you-can-watch channel at ¥3,980 per month, and creator plan boxes on the post pages start at ¥400 per month for a photo plan and ¥475 per month for a daily-life plan.

A subscriber's plan can end from the creator's side. A creator who wants to delete a plan that still has members is told to announce it by direct message and stop new sign-ups, allowing about 1 month for members to leave, or 1 week on a free plan. A bundle plan cannot be deleted in the middle of a purchased term as a rule, and when a creator does close one early, refunding the remaining months is the creator's cost and is arranged with each member by direct message. The payment page itself sets no refund rule.

Who it suits

myfans suits a reader who reads some Japanese, wants to follow individual creators and accepts that every adult post is mosaic-reviewed. A Visa, Mastercard or JCB card covers every sale type, and the English help center has articles on payment and on canceling a plan.

It is a weak fit for anyone after live shows or video chat, since the product is posts of photos and videos, and for anyone after uncensored footage or a studio's back catalog. The caveats are plain ones: menus and captions are Japanese, no operating company is named, and the pay-later routes need a Japanese phone number.
