What VI-VO is

VI-VO (ビーボ) is a smartphone-only video call and live streaming service in which men talk, message and watch live streams with women the site calls amateurs. It is run by 株式会社エムモバ, whose support center address is in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Every page is in Japanese, and the pages mention no English interface, no English support and no overseas customers.

The service is built around prepaid points rather than a subscription. Registration is free for men, and the terms state that the service is fully prepaid. It is a two-way chat service with posted clips from its own women, and its pages name no studios or labels. A member can register directly or start from an existing Google or Yahoo account, and the site asks visitors to use Google Chrome or Safari.

What it carries and how it is organized

The home page describes VI-VO as a two-way video call and erotic streaming (エロ配信) site for smartphones. Four kinds of contact sit at the center: video calls, voice calls, live streams and messages. A video call needs a free app that the member installs on the phone, and the same app handles voice calls. The site says it updates the app regularly to keep call quality up. It also says that calls made through the app cost the site's usage fee only, with no carrier call charge, while packet data is billed separately, which is why it recommends Wi-Fi.

Around those live features there is a layer of posted content. Women upload self-shot videos and images, and the site says new ones arrive every day. A member who buys one can watch it again as often as he likes, and the purchases are saved in a my-list area reached from the menu after login. The women also write blogs with pictures, and the site presents the blogs and a set of free videos as the most popular free content. Profile pages, blogs, free videos, free images and receiving messages are free to read, and so is playing a profile voice message.

Finding someone is mostly search and ranking. The home page shows a list of women who are online, each tagged with a region such as Kanto, Tokyo, Tokai, Kansai or Okinawa and with whether she takes video, voice or both. A search function lets a member narrow by type, and a favorites list keeps the ones he wants to come back to. Rankings cover posted videos, images and blogs and can be viewed by day, week or month. The site claims more than 50,000 registered women, which is its own claim for the roster and not a count of anyone online. It says the range of women includes office workers, married women and mature women.

Pricing events add a second layer to browsing. The site says it runs discount events from time to time: a newcomer discount on video and voice calls with new performers, a conversation discount for calls and a message discount for sending mail.

The price page shows how each feature is metered. Calls come as video and voice, plus a reverse version of each (逆ビデオ通話, 逆音声通話), all charged by the minute. A live stream charges by the minute to watch, and viewers can also send paid comments, stamps and tips. Mail is charged per message sent, with dearer rates for a message carrying an image or a video, for opening an image or video a woman sends, and for set requests such as asking for a call or arranging a time to talk. Posted images are bought per view and posted videos start at a higher floor. The how-to page adds that women are waiting online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The terms set the house rules. The company reviews each application and may refuse it without disclosing why. Recording a woman during a call is singled out as a serious rights violation that the company says it will report to the judicial authorities. Pressing someone to meet in person or to hand over personal details is banned, since the terms say the service is not for dating, and so are money dealings between members and exposing oneself or urging a registered woman to do so. The company can change or drop any part of the service without members' consent.

Japan mechanics

Operator and country: the terms name the company as the operator, and the Funds Settlement Act notice gives its support center at Shinjuku 5-chome in Tokyo, with a complaints desk reachable by email. A phone line for inquiries is open 9:00-22:00 and an email line is open round the clock. Lawsuits over the terms go to the district court for the company's head office.

Language: Japanese only. The navigation, terms, FAQ and price list are all in Japanese, and the pages do not offer any other language.

Region and overseas access: the pages make no statement about customers outside Japan, no list of supported countries and no region block. What they do say points inward: the women are described as being from all over Japan, the prepaid cards are sold at bookstores and video shops across Japan, and after registration the terms say a phone number is authenticated. They do not say whether a number from outside Japan is accepted.

Age: use and registration are refused to anyone under 18, and an age gate asks visitors to confirm they are 18 or over. The terms also state that the notification required for running the site, filed as a video-transmission adult business (映像送信型性風俗特殊営業), has been submitted.

Censorship: the pages do not describe the service as censored or uncensored. The one related rule is the ban on exposure in the terms, noted above.

Price, access and billing

Registration and the free content cost nothing. The money buys points, and the points are spent on calls (per minute), live viewing, messages and paid posted content. Points are prepaid, so there are no overdue payments and no collection notices, and the terms say the price is not announced mid-call. Payment is by credit card from a card company the operator approves, or by bank transfer to a designated account, and the transfer fee is the customer's cost. The FAQ adds a VI-VO-only prepaid card sold at bookstores and video shops across Japan, which cannot be returned or exchanged once bought. Taxes on the fees fall on the member. The pages name no card brand and no processor, and they do not say whether foreign cards work.

Nothing is refundable. The terms say fees paid are never returned and that points once bought cannot be refunded for any reason. The notice under the Funds Settlement Act adds that points expire 180 days after purchase, that refunds, where the law requires one, go only to a bank account in Japan, and that the notice states no upper limit on the payable amount. Leaving the service is free: a member presses a withdrawal button on his member information page, any remaining points disappear on withdrawal, and the support center can do it by hand if the button fails.

In October 2026 the home page offered, for a limited time, 3,000 yen worth of free points on registration. The price list read in October 2026 gives a video call at 230pt per minute and a voice call at 180pt per minute, while watching a live stream starts at 150pt per minute and messages and posted images and videos carry their own point prices. The prepaid cards sold at shops come in 3 sizes, and the FAQ pairs 2,200 yen with 2,000 points and 6,600 yen with 6,000 points at the two ends.

Who it suits

VI-VO suits a reader who lives in Japan or reads Japanese and wants a smartphone video-call service with ordinary amateur women, free browsing and a prepaid budget he can cap. The prepaid card route also suits someone who would rather pay in cash at a shop than put a card on file.

It does not suit a reader who needs English, since there is none, or one who needs a clear route to pay from abroad: the pages show card or bank transfer, shop-bought prepaid cards, a Japan-only refund route and a phone verification step with no overseas rule. Points also lapse after 180 days, so large purchases are poorly suited to occasional use.
