What AT-Mania is
AT-Mania is a Japanese mail-order shop for physical adult DVDs, sold new and used, with a buyback service. Its own front page calls it a 通信販売 (mail-order) site for adult DVDs, gravure DVDs and adult goods, and its page titles read 新品・中古アダルトDVD通販・買取, meaning new and used adult DVD mail order and buyback. The front page carries a plain notice in English, "This site is Japanese only", and every menu, product page and footer link is in Japanese.
The pages describe no streaming, no downloads and no member area. What a customer receives is a disc, and the catalog is built around discs: each product entry has a product code, a maker, a running time in minutes, the medium (DVD), a release date and a genre line. The shop's own description says it handles both new and used copies so that a customer can find a favorite performer or a favorite genre anywhere from older releases to the latest ones. Readers who want a physical copy of a specific title, or an older one, are the audience.
What it carries and how it is organized
The top menu runs DVD top, actress list (女優一覧), makers (メーカー), genres (ジャンル), search (検索), update log (更新履歴) and goods (グッズ), with a contact link, a cart and a checklist (チェックリスト) link beside them. The front page opens with a long block of the performers the shop says it mainly handles, sorted by the Japanese syllabary, followed by a block of the makers it mainly handles, sorted the same way.
The performer index is split into one page per syllable, each headed in the pattern 名前が【あ】で始まる女優の一覧 (actresses whose names begin with あ). A syllabary bar at the top of every page jumps between them, and each page links a version of the list with pictures and a separate image-type (イメージ系) index. The shop describes these lists as running from well-known actresses of earlier years to newcomers, which fits a store that sells used discs alongside new ones.
The maker pages are where the catalog becomes concrete. A maker page is headed in the pattern AVメーカーの新品・中古DVD一覧 (the maker's new and used DVD list), gives the maker's name with its reading in kana, and states how many mail-order items are registered for that maker. The MOODYZ page shows 8262 items and the KO COMPANY page shows 510. The list runs over numbered pages, and a visitor can switch between list, image and text views and sort by newest, most popular, release date, cheapest or most expensive. A separate recommended-makers page (お薦めメーカー) lists the shop's own suggestions, also by syllabary, and the maker pages link to the groupings インディーズ系 (independent labels), ビデ倫 and イメージ系 (image-type). The full maker index is repeated at the foot of each maker page, so a visitor can move from one label's list to another without going back to the front page.
Makers named in Latin script on the pages include MOODYZ, KANBi, E-BODY, DOC, FALENO, ROOKIE, MUTEKI, TMA, ART MODE, KO COMPANY, DANDY, SOMEBODY, BAZOOKA, kawaii and Fitch, next to a long run of katakana and kanji names such as プレステージ, マドンナ, ソフトオンデマンド, アイデアポケット, エスワン, アタッカーズ and ナチュラルハイ. The front-page block is headed as the makers the shop mainly handles, so it reads as a working stock list more than a complete directory of labels.
A product entry on a maker page gives the title, the performer line where one is credited, the product code, maker, running time, medium and release date, then a link to other titles with the same release date, the genre tags, a short synopsis and the price. Release dates run into the future, and a title that is not out yet is marked 予約 (pre-order) beside its date. The genre tags are the shop's own vocabulary, and they show that the range runs past studio AV: one maker's list is tagged as gay titles, and another maker's list is headed as image DVDs where the others say adult DVDs.
The footer adds a goods menu: onaholes, dolls, vibrators, rotors, dildos, anal goods, S&M goods, lubricants, condoms, supplements, costumes, lingerie, stockings and variety goods. Goods also have their own entry in the top menu.
The Japan mechanics
Censored or uncensored: no page says whether the discs carry mosaic.
Operator and country: the pages name a shop, AT-Mania, and do not name an operating company or give a street address. The footer carries registrations that both name the Osaka Prefectural Public Safety Commission. The first is for a mail-order adult business of the non-storefront type (無店舗型性風俗特殊営業), registration number 31325. The second is a secondhand dealer permit (古物商許可), number 621120142166, which matches the used-disc side of the business. The front page also states that the business-type notification has been filed and refuses entry to anyone under 18, with a choice between 18 or over and under 18 at the door. The footer adds that the site may be linked to freely, but that its images and text may not be reused.
Language: Japanese only, by the shop's own statement. There is no English interface, no English product text and no English support route.
Overseas access and shipping: the front, maker and performer pages say nothing about delivery abroad, foreign cards or any region rule. The one line aimed at visitors from elsewhere is the Japanese-only notice.
Price, access and billing
Because this is a disc shop, the money buys a physical item at a per-title price, with no membership or subscription. Prices are shown with tax included (税込) and labeled 新品 (new) in the listings. Used copies are part of the business, as the page titles and the buyback (買取) link in every footer show, but the maker lists price only new copies.
In October 2026 the first disc on the MOODYZ list, a pre-order, is priced new at 2,623円 with tax included, and the first disc on the KO COMPANY list at 8,668円 with tax included. These are per-disc prices as listed on those pages, and they differ widely by maker, so there is no single store price to quote.
Payment methods, shipping charges, delivery times and return terms belong to a set of separate pages that every footer links: purchase method (購入方法), purchase terms (購入規約), the mail-order legal notice (通信販売の表記), a privacy policy, and a page of common questions and answers. The catalog pages themselves carry only the per-disc price, the checklist and the cart, so those footer pages are where a reader planning an order would look first.
Who it suits, and caveats
AT-Mania suits a collector who reads Japanese and wants a physical disc found by maker, performer or product code, including older and used titles. The maker pages with item counts and sort options make a deep catalog easy to scan, and the pre-order marks make it usable as a release list for a favorite label.
It does not suit a reader who wants to stream, who needs English text, or who needs a clear statement about foreign cards and overseas delivery. The site is explicit that it is Japanese only, and the payment and shipping answers a first-time buyer needs sit on footer pages, away from the catalog.
