What Pink Eiga is

Pink Eiga is an English-language distributor of Japanese pink films, the independently produced erotic features that the company's about page describes as a short-form movie subculture shot on 35mm film. It runs as two linked sites: pinkeiga.com, a storefront and editorial site where discs are sold and films are written up, and pinkeiga.tv, a video-on-demand store that sells subscriptions, rentals and downloads. The about page names Pink Eiga Inc. as the company and says it was founded in 2008 to distribute pink films among audiences in the US and throughout the world. Both sites are in English throughout. The reader should know one thing before anything else: the pinkeiga.tv about page separates pink films from AV, describing them as short narrative features in which all sex shown is simulated.

What it carries and how it is organized

The catalog is built on pink films, which the about page says run across comedies, romantic dramas, midnight movies and horror. The storefront sorts them into genre tags, among them action, BDSM, comedy, cosplay, crime, drama, fantasy, fetish, science fiction and suspense. Titles on the front pages include The Japanese Wife Next Door in two parts, Twilight Dinner, The Succulent Succubus, A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn and Educating Yuna, and the film posts carry year, running time, director and cast details where the site has them. There are separate sections for directors, actors and actresses, with short profiles, which gives the site some of the character of a film database. The storefront's own category counter gives a sense of scale: it shows 66 posts under VOD and 44 under Pink Films.

A second line is J-Girl Yummy, a run of actress-centered releases sold on DVD and Blu-ray and also filed under the VOD category. The front page and the pinkeiga.tv menu both point to it, and the newest entries, dated December 14, 2025, name Yu Shiraishi, Aya Sakurai and Aika Yumeno. These posts are tagged as actresses, as Blu-ray and as compilations, so the line is closer to a performer showcase than to the narrative films that anchor the rest of the site.

The store also keeps a shelf for partner titles. Posts there carry a note that the film can be streamed exclusively on PinkEiga.TV or downloaded to own, and names such as Japan Fetish Models and Tokyo Fetish sit on it. On pinkeiga.tv the same shelf takes in exploitation films credited to other studios, Blue Underground and Severin Films among them, with English given as their language, and the FAQ confirms the point: it says the library also offers films outside the world of Pink Eiga and Japanese pink films. The pinkeiga.tv about page explains where the wider library comes from. It says Pink Eiga, Inc has partnered with multiple distribution platforms and content providers, and that the service holds the entire Pink Eiga catalog along with other classic pink films never released in the U.S.

The browse menu is the clearest map of the formats. The disc side is split into on-disc, Blu-ray, download to own, watch now (VOD) and J-Girl Yummy sections, plus an on-DVD view. The same menu lists subtitle tags for French, Indonesian, Portuguese and Spanish, and an Other Languages tag. Beyond the sales shelves there are news posts, film reviews, a newsletter signup, a most-viewed list and a Watch Free section with interviews and short documentaries about the pink film world, such as the Mr. Pink talks and the documentary Deep Contact: A Pink Eiga Odyssey. On pinkeiga.tv the free category shows 22 products, each marked as free access and set apart from the paid films.

The video store is powered by Kinow, as its footer says. Its menu offers Japanese pink films, J-Girl Yummy, browsing by genre, subscriptions, download to own, a link back to pinkeiga.com, the free section and a contact page, and it has top-seller, new-arrival, director and actor lists. Each film page gives a running time, a language line, year, cast and studio, a trailer, and a row of related films.

Japan mechanics

This is an English-language specialist outside Japan that sells Japanese titles, so the usual Japan questions have different answers. On the censored-or-uncensored question, the site's answer is that the question belongs to AV and not to its main product: the about page says pink films are narrative features, made by a few production companies that also finance them and supply a chain of independent pink theaters across Japan, and that the sex in them is simulated. The pages make no statement about mosaic, and none about how the J-Girl Yummy discs are treated.

On compliance, the terms of use and the legal notice say the site is administered by Pink Eiga Inc. and its partners. They carry a statement under 18 U.S.C. 2257 that all models and actors shown were over the age of 18 when the material was made, according to the custodian of records, and add that some material was made before November 1, 1990 and is exempt from that law's requirements. Access is limited to adults who accept the agreement, which asks the visitor to confirm being at least 18, or 21 where local law requires it. No street address appears on the pages; the contact route is an email address.

On language the answer is plain: interface, checkout, FAQ and film descriptions are in English. Subtitles are less clearly documented. The browse tags offer French, Indonesian, Portuguese and Spanish subtitle sets, and one disc listing opens with the words "DVD Features Japanese Language with English" before its teaser cuts off, but the pages do not say which films carry which subtitle sets. On access from other countries, the pages describe no region lock. The terms put the responsibility on the visitor, who must confirm an understanding of the standards and laws of the community the material is brought into. The pinkeiga.tv header offers a currency selector with dollar, Canadian dollar, euro, pound and shekel symbols, which fits the company's stated aim of reaching audiences beyond the US, and the pages do not tell a reader whether prices follow the selector.

Nothing on the pages ties a title to a Japanese store or membership. The films are sold directly by Pink Eiga, with partner titles marked as such and credited to their own studios on the film pages.

Price, access and billing

The money buys four things: a time-limited streaming pass to the whole pinkeiga.tv library, a rental of a single film, a purchase of a single film to stream and download, and physical discs from pinkeiga.com. The passes are described as site passes that stream any and all videos for the length of the pass, and the monthly, two-month and three-month passes each say that billing recurs at the end of the period. The ladder runs from a short trial pass, through monthly and two-month passes, to a three-month pass. The FAQ says a subscription can be canceled at any time through a cancel button in the account; canceling stops the recurring billing, and access continues to the end of the prepaid period. A film page offers two access modes, a rental that streams in HD and SD and a purchase that adds a download, and one partner film page states unlimited access for 5 days. Purchased films are listed under My Videos in the account, from which a download button starts the file, and the FAQ says most films are offered as a digital download. Discs are sold directly by the storefront, with free domestic shipping stated on the disc posts; the pages give no international shipping rates.

In October 2026 the subscription page lists the monthly pass at $12.95, billing recurring after 30 days, and the three-month pass at $30.00, recurring after 90 days. The short pass is listed at $4.00 and described as a 7 day pass in the text, though its duration field reads 8 days. A download-to-own copy of The Succulent Succubus appears in the store's top-sellers list at $4.95, and the related-films rows on the partner pages show single films at $3.95.

On the disc side, the pinkeiga.com pages in October 2026 show The Kinbaku Collection on DVD with two prices side by side, $32.95 and $24.95.

For payment, the FAQ names Stripe as the company that collects payment and says a buyer needs no Stripe account to pay. The secure-payment page calls Stripe a trusted payment gateway used by millions of businesses worldwide and says payments are handled discreetly. Neither page lists card brands, PayPal or any other method, and they do not say in so many words whether cards issued outside the US are accepted. Streaming is said to work on phone, tablet and laptop, with films encoded for portable devices and adaptive bitrate streaming; apart from the HD and SD labels on the film pages, the pages give no resolution figures.

Who it suits

Pink Eiga suits an English-speaking viewer who wants Japanese erotic cinema with film-style context, a short pass or a single download, and an English checkout. It is also useful to someone who wants a disc to own, or who wants to read about directors and casts before choosing. It does not suit a viewer looking for a deep catalog of studio-made adult video, since the site itself says its films are not AV, nor a reader who needs a stated list of payment methods or confirmed subtitle coverage before paying.
