What DUGA is

DUGA (デュガ) is a download and pay-per-view store for adult video, run by 有限会社アペックス (Apex Inc.) from Hakata ward in Fukuoka. Its pages describe it as a digital content distribution site centered on adult video, and the footer carries "Since 2006", with the join page saying the PC site opened in December 2006. The main product is the PPV (single title) sale, which the guide says can be bought from one title at a time. A second product, the monthly program (月額番組), is a flat-rate subscription that bundles several titles. The pages are in Japanese. Mosaic is not mentioned on any of them, so the store's own pages leave the censorship status of its titles unstated.

The site gives its scale as a claim, and the claim varies by page. The FAQ says 839 labels and 122,075 works, the guide and the search page say 116,527 works, and the join page says 881 labels. The join page also gives a member count of 1,598,763 as of October 2026. All of these are the site's own totals.

What it carries and how it is organized

The category list on DUGA's home page covers amateur, mature women, actresses, fetish, SM, male submission (M男), dominatrix (女王様), gay, newhalf, lesbian, variety productions, exposure, cosplay, masturbation, foreign women, drama and adult cinema. The search page prints a title count beside its lead categories: 13,422 under amateur, 22,878 under mature women, 17,772 under fetish, 3,520 under SM, 4,066 under male submission and 3,558 under gay, which stands as its own category. Titles on the home page carry tags such as 個撮, short for a private shoot, and the guide describes the range as running from the newest releases of major makers to niche titles for enthusiasts.

Labels are the main way to browse. The home page promotes popular labels such as SOD Create (SODクリエイト), Prestige (プレステージ), FALENO and Peters (ピーターズ), names a featured label and a newly added label, and the search sidebar offers label, series and performer filters. The performer filter on the search page includes 波多野結衣, 大槻ひびき and 浜崎真緒.

The home page works as a shop window with rows for today's new titles, early-release titles (先行配信), current picks, a top-100 ranking, rentals, HD editions and monthly programs. Early release means a new title is sold before its general release date. Near-new titles (準新作) get a price cut, and a limited-time sale called DUGA割 marks selected labels down, with some campaigns tied to a single label group. Rankings come in several forms: top 100, a first-half-of-2026 ranking, an actress ranking, a category ranking, a review ranking and a series ranking, and the overall list shows each title's place in the previous week. The guide also links a cash-back-for-reviews feature (レビューでキャッシュバック).

Search results can be sorted by popularity, release date, newest arrival, price, rating or how many members saved the title, and shown 40, 60, 80 or 100 to a page. Filters cover PPV or rental, HD, monthly programs, price status from early release down to back catalog, price band, star rating and whether a title carries DRM, and the FAQ has a section on how titles with and without DRM differ.

On playback, purchased titles can be streamed or downloaded as files through the DUGA Player, and the guide says a purchased title can be downloaded again free of charge, any number of times, under some conditions. A rental runs for 7 days from purchase, while a normal title has no playback limit. Some titles are marked multi-device, and for those the guide says smartphones and tablets can play them at no extra charge. One account works across PC, tablet and smartphone, and an Android app has been released. The site carries free sample videos for the whole catalog, which the guide counts at over 100,000. The terms let a buyer keep a backup of purchased files for private use, except where a file carries DRM or copy protection.

Japan mechanics

The operator, Apex, is named in the trade-law notice with its Fukuoka address, and it states a notification as a video-transmission adult business filed with the Fukuoka public safety commission (number 200430027). The same notice lists membership as a supporting member of a computer-software ethics body, and the site has an ethical standards page. The guide calls DUGA a download store for genuine products, says sales are shared fairly with makers, producers and other rights holders, and says the company supports the elimination of unauthorized distribution. The terms add that the service carries content supplied by third-party providers beside the company's own.

The footer has English link labels (Beginner's Guide, Help, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and so on), but the pages behind them are Japanese. The terms bar people under 18 and anyone whose local law does not allow them to view such material, and they warn that a false age claim could be punished under the law of the user's own country or region. They also say the service is for individuals, not companies, and that Japanese law governs, with Fukuoka courts having jurisdiction. The support center takes inquiries around the clock, with replies on weekdays between 10 and 18 o'clock. Beyond the local-law rule there is no region notice, and customers outside Japan are not addressed. On cards, the terms require one in the user's own name from an issuer that the company or its payment agent designates, and name no brands.

Account notes matter for outsiders. Rakuten Payment ended its contract with DUGA in July 2024, new Rakuten payments stopped at once, and login with a Rakuten ID ended on 5 August 2026. A multi-factor check was added in March 2023: a confirmation code is sent by e-mail when a login comes from an unfamiliar connection or a new device. The terms allow the company to disable an account that shows no use for 2 years.

Price, access and billing

Registration is free with an e-mail address and a stated age, and there is no joining or annual fee. Samples can be watched without limit after registering. Payment is by credit card or by a deposit balance (預かり金), which the FAQ describes as electronic money for use inside DUGA, charged up in advance and spent down. The trade-law notice lists the ways to add to it: BitCash, Rakuten Edy, C-CHECK, convenience stores, Pay-easy, d払い, au PAY, Paidy or bank transfer. The notice page records that d払い and au PAY were added as deposit methods in 2020 and 2022, both billed with the carrier's monthly phone charges. The FAQ points to a separate table of posting times, limits and fees for each top-up method.

The terms say deposits left untouched for 2 years after the last payment may be invalidated, and that fees paid are not refunded. A purchase is final once the card issuer approves it or the deposit payment goes through, delivery is by download at that moment, and the trade-law notice rules out returns. Monthly programs rebill every 30 days automatically, and each program must be canceled by the day before its next billing date. If a rebill cannot be made, the company may retry with another payment method, and when that fails too the program ends at once. The terms say nothing is reduced if cancellation comes mid-period. Deleting an account switches off DRM-protected titles and returns no money. The home page advertises monthly programs as multi-device with a flat rate (マルチデバイス対応&定額料金) but lists no monthly-program price.

In October 2026 the home page showed single titles priced from 150 yen, many at 300 yen and up, and a row of early-release compilations from 1,980 yen. Prices are tax-included, a wave mark after a price shows it is a starting price, and the search page offers price bands from the lowest up to 3,001 yen and above.

Who it suits

DUGA suits a buyer who prefers owning files by the title, who can read Japanese menus, and who wants amateur, mature, fetish or gay material from a single account, with free samples first. The deposit system helps someone who wants to spend in small steps or keep a card out of it. It suits worse a reader who needs English pages or a flat monthly price table, since neither is on offer here, and anyone joining a monthly program has to keep track of its 30-day billing date.
