What BeFree is

BeFree (ビーフリー) is a Japanese adult video maker, and befreebe.com is its official site: a catalog and release calendar for the maker's own live-action titles. Every page title introduces it as 素顔のSEXドキュメントをお届けのAVメーカー, an AV maker that delivers unvarnished sex documentaries. The slogan printed at the foot of every page, 働く女性たちの涙と笑顔とエロを魅せるBeFree, promises the tears, smiles and eroticism of working women, and that working-women angle runs through the whole catalog, from the genre counts to the series names. The copyright line starts at 2008, the one year the site gives about itself, and the help page credits planning and production (企画・製作) to BeFree.

Everything is written in Japanese. The site announces titles, sorts the back catalog and hands the buyer on: a FANZA entry sits in the bottom bar between the actress and works entries, and a sales-store page (販売店舗) is filed among the footer pages. A notice on every page states that all performers appearing in the works are 18 or older.

What it carries and how it is organized

Four entries lead the menu: upcoming titles (予約作品), titles now on sale (販売開始作品), search (作品検索) and the actress index (女優一覧). The actress index is split by the rows of the Japanese syllabary, あ行 through わ行, with a separate entry for new and pick-up names (新着・ピックアップ) ahead of them. The bottom bar adds an events entry (イベント) next to home, actresses, FANZA and works.

Search is where the catalog shows its shape. It is built from four blocks, genre, series, label and release date, and every entry in a block prints the number of works filed under it (作品数). The genre, series and date blocks show their leading entries and link on to a full list.

The genre block tells a reader what the maker leans on. Creampie leads at 252 works, followed by documentary at 185, big-bust at 155, amateur at 149 and the female-led genre (痴女) at 111. Compilations and best-of releases (ベスト・総集編) stand at 72 and self-shot POV-style titles (ハメ撮り) at 63. Wives and housewives are listed at 36 and NTR titles at 35. Documentary sitting second in that list matches the way the maker describes itself.

The top page compresses the same picture into three recommendation strips. Recommended genres are creampie, big-bust, POV-style, wives and housewives, compilations and amateur, in that order. Recommended keywords mix the brand name, the word creampie, the prefix bf and three title codes, BF549, BF534 and BF675, so a visitor learns that the maker's codes start with BF followed by a number. Recommended series pick out a handful of the running series described below.

The series block is where the occupation theme is plainest. A maid-service series (御奉仕メイドRoom) is listed at 9 works. A competition-swimsuit series (競泳水着専門) stands at 8, a flight-attendant series (スチュワーデス、○○) at 7 and a nurse series (ナースの告白) at 6. 東京BUNNY NIGHT is also at 6. A married-women series (密会人妻) holds 4. A series called RQ is listed at 8 works with nothing to expand the abbreviation. The flight-attendant series returns in the top page's recommended strip.

Labels are few, and one of them holds nearly everything. The main BeFree label is listed at 681 works. Beside it sit a spring event label at 3 works, a label named BD-BeFree at 2, and two labels named AVグランプリ and AVOPEN at 1 work each.

The release-date block shows how slowly the maker moves. The dates on view run from 2 December 2025 to 3 November 2026, one date per month, and each carries between 1 and 3 works: 1 on 3 November 2026, 1 on 6 October 2026, 2 on 1 September 2026 and 2 on 4 August 2026, with 3 each on the January and February 2026 dates. Every one of those dates falls in the first week of its month. For a reader who wants to follow a maker without a flood of new titles, this is a small feed with a predictable day.

The two listing pages show what a release entry looks like. The upcoming page holds one title dated 3 November 2026, a POV-style best-of whose title gives a running time of 480 minutes and a line-up of 18 performers. The on-sale page holds one title dated 6 October 2026, built on the premise of a very high-end adult establishment staffed by well-known AV actresses, with a line-up of 7. Each list is headed by its release date and a count of the works under it, and the top page repeats the upcoming title in its release box.

The Japan mechanics

Mosaic. BeFree makes no statement either way: none of its pages carries the words censored, uncensored or mosaic, in Japanese or in English.

The name behind it. BeFree is the only name on the site, in the copyright line and in the production credit. A company profile, a street address, a representative and a country are all absent, so the brand is as far as a reader can trace it here.

Language. The interface is Japanese only: menus, filters, titles, notices and the feedback form. The single English sentence is the reCAPTCHA notice under that form. Subtitles and English-language support go unmentioned.

Buying from abroad. A region rule, a shipping rule and any line addressed to overseas customers are missing as well.

Contact and notices. The feedback form (投書フォーム) asks for a name, an email address typed twice and a message of up to 500 characters, with every field marked required and consent to the privacy policy built into the send button. Its introduction explains that submissions about BeFree are kept for future reference and that the maker will not reply to them. The notice box on the top page holds three items: system maintenance announcements posted in January 2024 and January 2023, and a site renewal announcement posted in May 2022. Recruitment takes up much of the footer, with openings for new graduates, mid-career staff, outside designers, outside video-editing creators, camera operators, writers, makeup artists, stylists, web directors and outside AV editing staff. An affiliate recruitment page, a links page, an information page and a sitemap are filed beside the sales-store page.

Price, access and billing

BeFree's site is a showcase, and the money side lives elsewhere. Its pages are made of titles, dates, counts and filters, and a buyer leaves through the FANZA entry in the bottom bar or the sales-store page in the footer. Prices, plans, points, payment methods, formats and device support are not given on the maker's pages. The terms that matter, including whether a card issued outside Japan is taken, are the destination store's own.

Who it suits

BeFree suits a reader who wants to follow one Japanese maker with a documentary and POV leaning and a single release date each month, and who is comfortable reading Japanese menus or copying a BF code into a store search. The counts beside every filter make it quick to see how the catalog divides: a large main label, a long tail of occupation-themed series and a few genres that carry most of the works. Someone tracking a particular performer can start from the syllabary index instead.

It is a weaker fit for a reader who needs an English interface, a price on the page or a stated payment route from overseas, since the site offers none of the three. A reader outside Japan gets a clear view of what BeFree makes and when the next title lands, and has to take the buying questions to the store.
