What kawaii* is

kawaii* (カワイイ) is the official website of a Japanese adult video label. Its masthead calls it an AV maker of 美少女 only (美少女だけのAVメーカー, roughly pretty women only), its footer tagline is かわいいセックchu!メーカー, and the copyright line runs since 2006. The credit on the feedback form names Kawaii* as planning and production (企画・製作). The reservation list is headed by a title billed as a kawaii* 20th-anniversary special newcomer, which is also listed in a bonus edition (特典版), and a further title is billed as a 20th-anniversary commemorative release. This is a label site, not a store and not a subscription: it holds a catalog, a performer index and a reservation list, with no cart, no login and no plan. Every page is in Japanese. Mosaic is not mentioned anywhere on it; video sold in Japan is mosaic-censored.

What it carries and how it is organized

Navigation is short. Reservations (予約作品), released titles (発売作品), title search (作品検索) and the performer list (女優一覧) are the whole top bar, and the performer list is sorted by the rows of the Japanese syllabary with a separate new-and-pickup page. The site map adds a release-date index, a series index, a genre index, a links page, a page of stores that carry kawaii* titles, a recruitment page, a privacy policy and a feedback form. A FANZA tab sits in the bottom bar beside the home, performer, works and events tabs.

The reservation page gives the clearest view of the release rhythm. It covers titles releasing from October 12 to November 3, 2026, counts 16 titles in that window and shows them all on one page. The top page repeats the newest of them under the date November 3, 2026. No fixed release weekday is announced, so the dated reservation window is the schedule a reader gets. Each entry on the list is a title followed by the performer credited in it, and some entries credit two performers.

The site map says the title search covers reservations, releases, release dates, series and genres. A title can carry a series tag. The recommended series on the top page are 新人! kawaiiデビュー and kawaii新人デビュ→ (both newcomer debut series), kawaiiベスト (best-of compilations) and kawaiiVR. The debut series page shows how a series archive works: it holds 209 works, shows 30 titles at a time and has a pager that runs to 7. The entries are debut titles, and each one names its performer. Some are billed as a kawaii exclusive debut (専属デビュー), the label's term for a newcomer signed to it alone, and one is billed as a transfer debut (移籍デビュー) of a performer who was already working as an idol and AV actress. Other entries introduce the newcomer by background in the title itself: a former idol, a live streamer, an influencer. Some are presented as debut documentaries. Because every debut title names its performer, the series doubles as a record of who joined the label.

Recommended genres on the top page include creampie, debut titles, bishojo, big bust and slender; a title can sit in several. The recommended keywords include the plain words Vr, kawaii and av, the product code CAWD500, and the name of one performer, 伊藤舞雪, who is also credited on the reservation list. A reader who knows a title's code can therefore search for it directly. The reservation list also shows formats the label uses besides the single-performer debut: omnibus compilations that state the number of performers in the title (8 and 22), a bonus-edition release of one anniversary debut, and one title built on a costume-play concept with a single performer.

The VR line is kawaii*VR, listed among the recommended series on the top page, with Vr again among the recommended keywords. Headsets, resolutions and file formats are left to whichever store sells the title.

The links page (リンク) shows where the label places itself among other makers. The site map describes it as links to the various makers, and the page sorts them under headings. General AV makers come first, with MOODYZ and ワンズファクトリー. A performer-led group follows, with S1, アイデアポケット, MUTEKI, E-BODY and PREMIUM among its entries. Mature makers are マドンナ and TAMEIKE, the lesbian heading has ビビアン, the fetish heading includes Fitch, MVG, OPERA and OPPAI, and the 企画 (concept-driven) heading lists 本中, ROOKIE, NPJ, はじめ企画 and HHH. Beyond makers the page links a toy brand, a maker of games built around AV performers, a performer-events site named イベルト and an adult auction site. FANZAニュース, described as a free daily news feed about AV, sits at the head of the page. Each entry carries that maker's own one-line pitch, and the page states no ownership tie between kawaii* and any of them.

The footer of every page also works as a job board for the label, with openings that run from salaried hires to freelance design, camera, writing, styling and editing work, and it adds a call for affiliates (アフィリエイト募集).

The Japan mechanics

No company name stands behind the brand on these pages. The footer gives kawaii* and the since-2006 line, the entrance page speaks only of 弊社 (the company) when it disclaims responsibility for any consequence of entering, and there is no address, no company page and no ethics-body mark. The one compliance line, repeated at the foot of every page, is that all performers in the label's titles are 18 or older (作品の出演女優は全て18歳以上です). The entrance page describes the site as an adult site for visitors of 18 and over.

English is absent: the interface is Japanese throughout, subtitles are never mentioned and no English support is offered. Region rules and overseas access are not addressed either way.

Mail to the label is one-way. Its 投書フォーム, the only way to write to kawaii* from these pages, wants a name, the sender's email twice, a message no longer than 500 characters and a tick for the privacy policy, and reCAPTCHA screens it. Whatever is sent is read as a suggestion: the label promises no answer.

The top page keeps a short log of announcements, oldest 2020.03.04 (how events would be handled during the pandemic) and newest 2024.01.24 (system maintenance), with the relaunch of the site on 2022.02.10 in between.

Price, access and billing

Browsing is free behind the age check. The site sells nothing itself, so it has no price, no plan, no points, no trial and no renewal or cancellation terms of its own. The purchase routes it shows are the FANZA tab in the bottom bar and the stores page (販売店舗), which the site map describes as introducing the shops that handle kawaii* titles. FANZA is the one store the pages name: the links page describes it as offering adult video streaming, DVD rental and adult mail order, and repeats FANZA's own claim to one of the largest selections in Japan (国内最大級の品揃え). No payment method or processor is named by the label, and whether a foreign card is accepted is decided by the store that carries a title, where its price is also read.

Who it suits

The kawaii* site suits a reader who follows the label and wants its reservation list, its debut series and its product codes in the maker's own words before shopping. It also serves someone tracing which newcomers signed exclusively to the label, since the debut archive runs to 209 works. It is less useful for a reader who wants a checkout, an English layer or a stated overseas route, because none of those exist here. A reader who cannot read Japanese can still use the performer index, the series pages and the title codes, and will then need a store to buy anything.
