What MARRION is

MARRION (マリオンAV; the masthead reads マリオンAV公式サイト, the Marrion AV official site) is the catalog site of a Japanese adult video maker, and it is written in Japanese from top to bottom. Its page description opens with the line 王道AVメーカーとは、こういうことさ。, roughly, this is what a classic AV maker looks like. Its only statement about who stands behind it is the copyright line, "COPYRIGHT (C) MARRION ALL RIGHTS RESERVED." No parent company, address or country is given. Nothing is streamed or sold on the site. Its home page says the official site presents things that FANZA product pages leave out, namely the highlights of each title and the intent of the production side, given as director comments (監督コメント), and it tells the visitor to read the highlights first and then watch the main video on the authorized distribution service (正規配信サービス), FANZA.

For an English-speaking reader that sets the terms. MARRION is a maker with many small labels and a VR line, the site is Japanese-only, and it works as a reference and release board that hands buyers on to FANZA. Mosaic is not mentioned on these pages; video sold in Japan is mosaic-censored.

What it carries and how it is organized

The menu runs home (ホーム), works list (作品一覧), events (イベント), downloads (ダウンロード), costume sales (衣装販売), recruitment (採用情報), contact (お問い合わせ) and search (検索). The works list is sorted by label (レーベル別). Each label block gives the label name, often a credited director, a total in the form 全 N 作品 (N works) that the site states itself, a link to the label's full list, and a short run of the newest titles with their product codes and a sales flag. NEW marks a recent release, DL販売 marks a title on download sale, and 販売終了 marks a title whose sale has ended.

iris is the largest block, at 282 works, credited to the director 宮本小次郎, and its newest titles carry codes in the MMKZ and MMKS series, for example MMKZ-167. Titles there lean on big-hips themes (巨尻, デカ尻). MCP follows at 115 works under the director 笠井貴人, with a masturbation-instruction series (MJOI) among its newest entries. The label 夢野 lists 102 works, with a dirty-talk series (卑猥語女) running through its codes, including one 240-minute selection. Smaller blocks show how finely the maker splits its output. BF has 7 works, mostly titled Boots fetish, 顔面主観 has 5 works shot from a face-level point of view, なんとも has 11, and TOMODA has 12 works, a label whose listed titles all name the performer 友田彩也香. HIP MONSTER has 9 works, oppy 10, MOTHERS 22 and the label 小林電人, named for its director, 24. 破壊の女神 holds 5 works, all entries of one numbered series, and MICHIRU holds 6, again a single series with a different performer in each. Lesbian-themed titles appear under なんとも, 粘膜接触 and Lez Junkie. MARRION DEBUT, M館 and MARRIONFILMS are single-work labels, as are KIRIN, TIGER, TAKUAN and THE WORLD, each of which credits one director.

The same directors recur across labels. 笠井貴人 is credited on both MCP and the VR label, 宮本小次郎 on iris and, with others, on マザリオン and マリオンマニアックス, and 二村ヒトシ on MOTHERS and 欲望解放. For a reader who follows directors more than performers, the label page is the place where the maker sets that out.

A compilation label named MARRION BEST holds 21 works. Its entries are best-of sets: 4-hour collections (4時間総集編), numbered iris best-of volumes, and multi-title sets whose names state their contents and running times, such as a 9-title set of 1427 minutes and a 10-title set of 1422 minutes (1427分, 1422分). A 10-disc selection (10枚組) is listed there with the 販売終了 flag, and MOTHERS lists a 10-disc box of its own, also ended. Sale status differs sharply by label. The newest iris, MCP and 夢野 titles all carry DL販売, while several older labels show 販売終了 on every title in their block.

The new-release block on the home page groups titles under release dates written in the Reiwa-era notation, R8年10月6日, R8年9月15・1日 and R8年8月18・11日, where R8 is year 8 of the Reiwa era. That is one or two release days in each of those months. A news column beside it announces each 公式詳細 (official details) page as it is published, with entries dated R8.10.6, R8.9.15, R8.9.1, R8.8.18 and R8.8.11, and the latest-titles block at the top of the page links straight to those detail pages (公式詳細を見る). The home page also links the complete list (作品一覧をすべて見る) and a label picker (レーベルから探す).

The VR line

VR is its own label with 22 works under the director 笠井貴人, and it has a dedicated list page. Every title on it is prefixed 【VR】. Its product codes run through the series MMVRSP, MMVRN, MMVRA and MMCPVR, and several of the MMVRSP titles carry the 販売終了 flag. The format claims are the ones that sit inside the titles: some state 6K撮影 (6K shooting), others name a chase-and-follow viewpoint (追跡追従視点), free first-person movement (完全自由主観移動) or all-natural-light shooting (ALL自然光), and one is billed as a whisper-voice title (囁きボイス). A run of MMCPVR titles is marked マリオン専属VR (Marrion exclusive VR), and each of those credits 友田彩也香, the performer of the TOMODA label. Headsets, delivery method and bitrate are not part of the listing, which gives titles, performers and codes only.

The Japan mechanics

The pages carry no mosaic notice and no uncensored claim, and the one distribution route they name is FANZA. On the operator, the copyright line gives a brand name and stops there.

Language is plain. The interface, the label lists, the director comments and the contact route are all Japanese, with no English subtitles, English support or English checkout mentioned. Overseas access, accepted countries and foreign cards are not addressed either: the only route the site names for watching a title is FANZA, and what FANZA accepts from abroad is set out on FANZA's own pages. Every title is listed with a product code in the catalog's own format, MMVRN-005 or MMKZ-166 for instance.

Price, access and billing

Reading the site is free and there is nothing to join. It carries no prices, plans, points or payment methods, because nothing is sold on it. The only commercial wording is the DL販売 flag on titles, which marks download sale, the 販売終了 flag, which marks a title withdrawn from sale, and the instruction to watch the main video on FANZA. A visitor pays on the store, on the store's terms. The downloads and costume-sales entries in the menu are named but not explained on the home page or the catalog lists.

Who it suits

MARRION suits a reader who already shops on FANZA, reads some Japanese, and wants to follow one maker label by label: which labels exist, how many works each states, who directs them, which are newest and which have gone off sale. The director comments are a real reason to visit for anyone who can read them. It suits a VR owner who wants the list of this maker's VR codes and format wording in one place. It does not suit someone who needs English anywhere, someone looking for a membership or a price to compare, or anyone who expects to watch or buy on the site itself.
