What MEGAMI is

MEGAMI is a Japanese adult video maker. Its site at www.sm-megami.com signs itself MEGAMI公式サイト (MEGAMI official site) in the page titles and in the copyright line, and every page carries the heading M男パラダイス, a paradise for M男, the Japanese term for a male submissive. The heading sets the theme: the titles under it are built around a male submissive lead who is dominated and teased by women. The text is Japanese from the menu to the rights notice.

The site is a catalog and not a store. Its pages list releases and each release page has links for purchase, but no page shows a cart, a login, a price or a player. MEGAMI is also the one name given for who is behind it, with no company, address or country beside it. The pages do not state whether the video is censored; video sold in Japan is mosaic-censored.

What it carries and how it is organized

The menu is short: HOME, a title list (作品一覧/TITLE), the maker's X (Twitter) account under SNS, a recruitment page (求人/RECRUIT) and a contact page (お問い合わせ/CONTACT). That keeps the catalog easy to scan, since a visitor has only two real routes in, the home page and the paged title list.

The store behind either link is not named in the text, so the site itself does not tell a reader which shop or membership carries the titles. Delivery of the DVD, shipping abroad and the download format are likewise left to wherever the links lead.

Japan mechanics: language, region, rights
